National and World
Charger recall

Rechargeable power banks sold at national retailers such as Kohl’s and Burlington are being recalled because of a fire hazard.

The recall involves universal rechargeable power banks for use with smartphones and tablets. The devices are manufactured by Daniel M. Friedman & Associates.

The recalled charger comes in a variety of colors and shapes, including a unicorn head, a cat with sunglasses and a rainbow between two clouds.

If you have the chargers, stop using them and contact Daniel M. Friedman & Associates for a full refund.

The company has received three reports of the charger overheating, including one report of a house fire that caused $150,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.

The chargers were sold nationwide between November 2016 and January 2019 for about $25.

For more information, call Daniel M. Friedman & Associates at 855-706-6500 or email to arrange a refund.
