The driving force of the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum in Howland passed away this week.
Bill Griffin died on Tuesday.
The 1984 Howland High graduate grew up idolizing Ernie Hall, the aviation pioneer with ties to Trumbull County.
Griffin had a passion for flying and was a big force behind establishing the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum in 2013.
It also led to the Wings and Wheels show every year, which raised money for the museum and charity.
“It’s going to be a very difficult, if not impossible, job to keep up with what he did because he never stopped,” said Bill Hunter, a board member of the museum.
Griffin leaves behind many family members, including his wife and son.
Calling hours and the funeral are Saturday.
