The director of aviation at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport has resigned.
Dan Dickten’s resignation was accepted Monday by the Western Reserve Port Authority’s Board of Directors. He has held the position for the past eight years.
The Board of Directors expressed appreciation for Dickten’s work.
“After eight years, the Board will use this time to reflect on where we have been and explore new opportunities,” said John Moliterno, executive director of the Port Authority.
Last year, the airport in Vienna lost its only commercial airliner when Allegiant Air stopped service. Directors have been working to bring a new airliner in without success thus far.
John Moliterno will oversee daily operations during a transition period.
