Youngstown police: Man grabbed victim, offered to pay her for sex

Jovan Vukovic, charged with gross sexual imposition in Youngstown.

A man was arrested in Youngstown on Wednesday, accused of propositioning a victim for sex while grabbing her thigh. 

Police said the sexual assault was also witnessed by the victim’s mother.

A police report did not list the age of the victim.

She told police that 59-year-old Jovan Vuckovic came up to her while she was sitting on the front porch of her home on E. Auburndale Avenue. She said Vuckovic then began rubbing her thigh in an inappropriate manner while she tried to push his hand away.

She told police that Vuckovic then asked her for sex, offering to pay her, and said, “My girlfriend is black, but I like vanilla, too.” 

Police said after leaving the house, Vuckovic then knocked on the doors of several homes in the area. 

Multiple witnesses reported that he was walking around, swearing and harassing people, according to a police report. 

Police said Vuckovic appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was unable to answer questions.

He was arrested and charged with sexual imposition and disorderly conduct. 

According to court records, he has past disorderly conduct and public indecency charges in Youngstown.
