Youngstown Police investigating fatal shooting on city’s east side

Officers were sent to the 300 block of Euclid Avenue just after 10 p.m. Friday night for a shooting victim

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are investigating a homicide on the city’s east side.

Officers were sent to the 300 block Euclid Avenue just after 10 p.m. Friday night for a shooting victim.

Inside the home they found a man in his late 40’s with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was declared dead at the scene.

YPD detectives and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office are investigating.

Detectives were back at the scene Saturday morning, knocking on neighbors doors to try to get more information.

This is the 20th homicide of the year in the city of Youngstown. In 2019, the city had a total of 20 homicides for the year.
