YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man facing charges in two murder cases went before a judge on Tuesday.
Lavontae Knight pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of Joshua Donatelli.
Knight was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month.
Police say Donatelli was shot and killed during a drug transaction on Imperial Street.
George Gutierres is also charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the shooting. Investigators say he brought the victim to the drug deal.
Knight is already facing charges in connection to a separate shooting from December of 2018 in which two people were killed.
He’s set for trial later this month in the Donatelli case.
