YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Mahoning County Commissioners are using some of their Covid-19 funding to help teach people how to be lifeguards.

They will give the Youngstown Lifeguard Academy a total of $50,000, which is based downtown.

The money will pay for training and equipment. Participants will pick up potential career skills including SCUBA training.
