YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – People looking to get back their currently suspended driver’s licenses were steered in the right direction this weekend.
A clinic was held on Saturday by the Youngstown Municipal Court at First Presbyterian Church on Wick Avenue.
The event was open to the public and participants were able to meet individually with license restoration specialists, legal counsel and social service agencies.
“People get into that, that, that kind of revolving door with huge reinstatement fees. They keep mounting and mounting and mounting to where it’s insurmountable. They just can’t get valid… they can’t get those paid off. We’re giving them opportunities now to either get the reinstatement fees dismissed, you know, forgiven, get on payment plans with our court system, get warrant blocks lifted, become valid drivers,” said Youngstown Judge Renee DiSalvo.
In case you missed the event, DiSalvo said there will be another one in about four or five months.
