YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown City Schools’ chief of human resources is on administrative leave after allegations were made against him.

Youngstown City School spokeswoman Denise Dick confirmed that Thomas Hill has been placed on leave as of March 10, pending an investigation.

The school district released the following statement Wednesday:

“Information was released by the school district yesterday (March 10, 2020) regarding the leave of the Youngstown City Schools Chief of Human Resources, Thomas Hill. Mr. Hill was placed on administrative leave with pay, which is the school district procedure when allegations of misconduct are made.

A review of these allegations will be thoroughly conducted by an outside entity. According to Youngstown City School District Chief Executive Officer Justin M. Jennings, ‘While laws prevent us from sharing specific information about this case, we will be as transparent as possible and open with our communication about the situation. I plan to conduct a review of the school district’s procedures and will also be asking for an external review of these practices.’ He added, ‘Our primary function is providing the best education possible for our young scholars and I am committed to this objective.’

Updates regarding this situation will be made available.”
