WRTA gives the Valley a lift. Now the process of finding a bus and catching it has gotten easier.
A new app called myStop shows WRTA customers their bus number and route, as well as updates the bus’ position every minute and when it will get to each stop.
You can sign up for text or email notifications.
Another of the app’s features helps riders plan a trip simply.
“Put, ‘I want to go to a mall.’ It will tell me what bus to take to get to that mall, how many feet do I have to walk to get to a bus stop. It makes you feel comfortable in a strange place,” said Director of Transportation Judy Rodriguez.
The app also helps WRTA drivers by automatically updating the bus marquee so all they have to concentrate on is driving.
