BELOIT, Ohio (WKBN) – The West Branch Local School District placed a teacher on leave following allegations made on social media.
According to a district spokesperson, the alleged incident took place off campus in July of 2015 and involved a high school teacher and a 2013 graduate, who was not a student at the time of the alleged incident.
The district says it was brought to the superintendent’s attention on Friday, April 26. Once learning about it, the superintendent launched an investigation by consulting law enforcement, board counsel and current employees.
The teacher has been placed on administrative leave, pending a full investigation.
