Warren officers arrested a woman who they said smashed out the window of a car with a toddler in the back seat on Friday.
Around noon, police responded to the 2200 block of Shalom Ave. NW, where a caller said 25-year-old Chardasha Magee smashed the window of her car.
When police got there, Magee told them she saw the father of her child in a car with another woman, according to a report. The woman’s son was in the back seat, police said.
Magee claimed the woman pepper-sprayed her so Magee went to her own car, got a bat and smashed out the passenger window and side mirror, the report states.
The woman, however, told police she saw Magee coming toward her car with the bat first. She said she pepper-sprayed Magee to keep her away.
The woman said she also stuck her leg out of the window in an attempt to keep Magee away, but Magee just hit her leg with the bat, according to the police report.
Police said when Magee smashed the window, some glass hit the 2-year-old in the back seat.
Magee faces charges of criminal damaging, endangering children and assault.
