Warren shooting sends 2 to hospital

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating a shooting in Warren that sent two men to the hospital.

The victims — 23-year-old Shawndon Flowers and 23-year-old Markell Russell — had minor injuries as a result, according to a police report.

Police said they showed up at Trumbull Regional Medical Center on Thursday morning with gunshot wounds.

Police said the victims would not provide much information about what happened. Officers were able to determine that they had been shot in the area of Austin Avenue SW and Oak Street SW, where they found shell casings in the street.

Police said there are no suspects at this time.

Flowers has been arrested in the past for charges related to drug sales.
