Warren Schools parking ticket dispute

The Warren Police union and Warren City School District met Friday after a dispute over parking that led to the removal of the school’s resource officer.

Earlier this week, the police union reported that Officer Adam Chinchic was escorted out of the Jefferson building after he issued the school’s principal, Carrie Boyer, a parking ticket. According to the union, Chinchic wrote the ticket after giving several warnings due to the car parking repeatedly in a handicapped zone.

Both sides say the meeting was productive but would not give any other details.

“The discussion at our meeting today with the police union officials went well. I believe we are working together in a positive direction to achieve a common goal,” said Superintendent Steve Chiaro.
