WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police say deliberately missed phone calls escalated to a physical fight in Warren on Monday.
The Warren Police Department was called to the 2200 block of Burton St. for calls for domestic violence.
A woman told officers she didn’t answer the calls from the father of her child because she didn’t want to argue. When she returned home, police say that man was inside her home.
Officers say the man threatened to beat her. She told him that she would have someone, “beat him up,” if he touched her.
She told police he then grabbed her around the neck and choked her against the wall. They said he then grabbed her by her hair extensions, ripping them out.
Police say she tried scratching and biting him as self-defense. He flipped tables over — breaking things in the house. He left the home and fleed in a dark blue car.
She had a cut on her foot, according to the report.
No charges were filed.
