WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A 19-year-old man is facing several misdemeanor charges stemming from a crash that damaged the City of Warren’s sign.
The crash happened just after 3:45 a.m. Saturday.
According to a police report, Brady Benner was driving at a fast rate of speed heading north on Niles Road. Police say the car he was driving hit both an electric and railroad pole before crashing into the Warren sign and into a McDonald’s restaurant.
Benner pleaded not guilty to several charges including unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving while under the influence, reckless operation, driver’s license required and failure to control.
He’s currently being held in the Trumbull County Jail without bond.
The city sign was substantially damaged.
