A Warren Township man who pleaded guilty to attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor was sentenced to five years probation on Tuesday.
Glenn Rogers, 49, will be serving the first 90 days of his probation in the Trumbull County Jail.
Rogers will also have to register as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years.
Prosecutors say in June of 2017, Rogers inappropriately propositioned a 13-year-old girl at a party.
“What separated this case from other cases is there wasn’t any hands-on contact. It was more propositioning so I think that’s why the judge did what he did and I think the sentence is appropriate,” said Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman.
Judge Andrew Logan also ordered Rogers to not have any contact with the victim or the victim’s family, as well as no unsupervised conduct with minor girls.
