The Warren Family Mission is celebrating the opening of its newest facility.
Joined by city and county officials, the Mission cut the ribbon inside its new food pantry, located inside of the old post office at the corner of Austin Avenue and W. Market Street.
The 4,200 square foot building is handicap accessible and will help the Mission serve the community in a higher capacity.
Dominic Mararri said it’s a dream and vision come true.
“You see it in your mind, and you know what you want it to be and for it to actually be here in the physical, manifested, you know, we couldn’t be more happier, we couldn’t be more thankful.”
The food pantry is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and from 1 to 3 p.m.
This Friday, the Mission will be giving away free milk — starting at 9:30 a.m. while supplies last — at 155 Tod Ave. NW.
