YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Voters chose their Democratic nominees for Youngstown City Council on Tuesday.
Every council seat was up for election and four had challengers in the primary.
In Youngstown’s first ward, Julius Oliver kept his seat. He ran against Bryant Youngblood, Jr.
Voters picked Jimmy Hughes to represent the city’s second ward over Ra’Cole Taltoan.
In Youngstown’s third ward, Samantha Turner defeated Denice Necie Neal-Davis and Darian Rushton.
Lauren McNally, the incumbent, kept her seat in the fifth ward, defeating Jim Cerimele.
Mike Ray, Anita Davis and Basia Adamczak ran unopposed in their wards — the fourth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
