Local News

The family of Britney Mazanec, who was shot and killed outside of a Niles bar over the weekend, is planning a vigil to celebrate her life.

A memorial of balloons, flowers and notes is growing outside of the Hideaway Lounge off of Route 422. A sign near the bar now reads, “We Love You Britney.”

Mazanec’s family plans to hold a vigil near the sign at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. They’re inviting the community to come and show her children how much she was loved.

Her calling hours will be from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, with the service beginning at 3 p.m. at Lane Roberts Funeral Home in Warren.
