Vigil held in Girard in memory of local missing woman

Local News

It has been 25 years since 28-year old Charlotte Nagi Pollis disappeared.

Family and friends held a memorial celebration in honor of her life at the United Methodist Church in Girard on Saturday.

Several people stood up and spoke about Pollis. Layla Pollis, Charlotte’s daughter, said holding this vigil helps keep her mother’s memory alive.

“Because of all the stories you guys have shared with me over the years, I’ve gotten an opportunity to see my mother through all of your eyes,” she said.

Pollis’ husband is suspect in the case, according to Layla. She says her mother is still considered a missing person.
