Video: Protesters removed from Men’s Rally during Michael Vick’s speech

Local News

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two protesters were removed from the Covelli Centre on Saturday after they spoke up in protest of Michael Vick.

A group of local animal advocates stood outside prior to the Men’s Rally in the Valley event on Saturday. They held signs in protest of Vick’s past history with dogfighting.

Protesters then went inside, where they stood with their backs turned away from Vick as he spoke.

During the event, one of the protesters began yelling, “He didn’t find Jesus until he got arrested!” She and another woman were escorted out of the building as Vick continued speaking.

WKBN spoke with organizers earlier this month. They said Saturday’s event is about forgiveness and Vick shouldn’t be condemned.

Vick spoke to WKBN after his speech. Check back here later for that side of the story.
