Local News

Crews worked to control a house fire Wednesday in South Pymatuning Township.

The fire broke out just before 8 a.m. at a house in the 2700 block of Ivanhoe Rd.

Crews said the fire started in a back porch storage area and spread. There were no working smoke detectors, firefighters said.

The house is a total loss and the family won’t be able to stay there, firefighters said.

Two people were inside at the time but managed to get out safely.

Firefighters are still trying to figure out how it started.
