YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Police say they have received little cooperation after a pair of boys were shot Monday evening on the South Side.
Chief of Detectives Capt. Brad Blackburn said the boys, ages 11 and 13, are both expected to recover from their wounds.
The two were outside at Franklin Avenue and King Street about 8:30 p.m. when someone in a car fired several shots and both boys were struck.
They were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center to be treated.
Blackburn said family members have not cooperated with police, which is hampering their investigation.
Investigators said they are not sure who was the target of the gunfire.
