Two arrested, accused of robbing semi truck driver with knife

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) - Two people have been arrested after a man and woman say they were attacked and robbed with a knife while sitting in a semi truck.

John Holbrook, Jr. and Tonya Tutoki were both charged with robbery.

It happened on June 2, on Niles Cortland Rd. in Howland. 

According to a police report, the male victim said he was sitting in his semi truck meeting with a friend when Tutoki began banging on the window asking for help. Police say the man began dialing 911 and handed Tutoki his phone but she hung it up.

The report states at that time Holbrook pulled the man out of the semi truck and began hitting him in the face. Then Tutoki entered the semi truck and robbed the woman while threatening her with a knife.

According to the police report, cell phones, $460 and a cell phone case containing credit cards and personal identification cards were taken. 

The police report states the woman attempted to chase the suspects in her vehicle but could not catch up to them. 

Police were able to recover some of the stolen items nearby.
