One of Warren’s most historic houses will soon become the headquarters of the Trumbull County Historical Society.
The house is located on Mahoning Avenue, right behind First Presbyterian Church.
According to Historical Society Director Meghan Reed, the house was built in 1894 by carriage maker Owen Morgan. It’s been vacant seven to eight years.
The historical society will use $50,000 donated from the late Raymond and Janice Bland and turn it into offices, a research center and community rooms.
The Western Reserve Port Authority is buying the house from the City of Warren for $1.
A signing ceremony is planned for Thursday, February 28. It’s hoped to be done by spring of 2020.
