Truck carrying grain flips on I-376 in West Middlesex, spilling its load

Traffic was down to just one lane on Interstate 376 southbound by Interstate 80 in West Middlesex after a truck carrying grain flipped over into the median, spilling its load.

Pennsylvania State Police said the driver was going too fast as he tried to merge onto 376 from 80 a little after 4 p.m. on Wednesday and lost control.

Carl Fitzgerald, Jr., of Beaver Falls, was driving the rig for Ag Central of New Castle. Fitzgerald was not hurt.

The highway was down to just one lane while crews cleaned it up.

Charges are pending.
