One man is in jail after the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized $40,000 worth of methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop in Summit County.
Richard W. Hayes, 38, of Akron, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, trafficking in drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Troopers say they pulled over Hayes in a 2009 Toyota Tacoma for an improper lane change violation on Arlington Street in Akron. They say when during the stop they could see drug paraphernalia in plain view which caused them to search the vehicle.
Richard was incarcerated in the Summit County Jail.
If convicted, he could face up to 33 years in prison and up to a $60,000 fine.
