PERRY Twp., Pa., (WKBN)- Pennsylvania State Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection to the shooting that killed a woman and injured a man last month.
State Police say Yohance Mercer-Huffman, 28, is accused of killing Julie Ann Wegmiller, 39, and injuring another man during a shooting on Sept. 30 on River Road in Perry Township.
Troopers arrested Mercer-Huffman yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. during a traffic stop in Union Township.
He has been charged with criminal homicide, criminal attempt-criminal homicide, aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, and related firearms charges. Charges were filed on Friday by the Magisterial District Court in Lawrence County.
Mercer-Huffman was booked into Lawrence County Jail, awaiting his next court date, which has not been set.
