FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) – What’s being described as a “major” drug sweep took place across western Pennsylvania Monday morning.
Sources say more than a dozen locations in Mercer and Lawrence counties were raided.
One of the homes raided was in the 1200 block of Roemer Blvd. in Farrell. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents, Farrell police and a SWAT team from Butler County surrounded the house.
One person was taken away in handcuffs.
Neighbors said they heard a couple of loud bangs in the area.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh said we could learn more later Monday.
