HOWLAND TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – An 81-year-old woman drove through an oral surgeon’s office in Howland Friday morning.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. at the Howland Professional Center on Route 46, just past Howland Center.
Police said the woman was in the parking lot and drove right through the brick wall, into the lobby.
Firefighters had to stabilize the walls around the car before it could be towed away.
No one was in the lobby at the time of the crash.
“The doctor said that normally on a day like today, there are two or three people in the waiting room and at this particular time there was nobody there. Nobody was injured. So just the building, thankfully,” said Howland Asst. Fire Chief Jim Sapp.
Firefighters said the woman appeared to be OK but was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Investigators did not say what caused the accident.
