NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) - A suspect has been charged in connection to a triple homicide in New Castle.
Steven Procopio, 19, of New Wilmington, was charged with homicide Wednesday night. Police say he is in custody and expected to be arraigned Thursday morning.
On October 16, 31-year-old Nichole Pumphrey, 10-year-old Amariah Emery and 31-year-old Lawrence Cannon, were found shot to death in a home on W. North Street.
Police said there were four other children inside at the time who were not hurt. Family is now taking care of them.
New Castle police posted on their Facebook page, "We have been working diligently since the incident took place to identify the person responsible for this horrendous, senseless crime."
Police have not commented on a motive.
