YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- Youngstown State University will welcome its students back for the second semester Monday, January 10.
The spring semester kicks off today and runs until May 7 and as of right now, classes are all in person.
YSU leaders say they will continue to monitor cases, especially with the spread of the omicron variant.
But as students and faculty return to campus they want to remind everyone of the protocols and recommendations.
According to a press release, students, faculty, staff and visitors are required to wear a mask regardless if they’re vaccinated or not.
They ask if you’re not feeling well. don’t come to campus. There is free COVID-19 testing available for students and employees.
The university will be holding vaccination clinics throughout the semester. The next one is on February 3.
These precautions have been in place for several months now and YSU officials hope they continue to help keep everyone on campus with in-person classes. They’ll also work with local and state health officials to monitor cases and take action if needed.
