YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A new organization, Spark Motherhood is hosting a meet and greet Sunday.

The woman who started the support group, Kelly McKee-Foos, says they want to be there for women trying to conceive, parents, families, and more.

“I want them to feel reassured — that they’re not crazy and they’re not the only ones feeling these feelings.”

In their mission statement, they say they want to help others:

SPARK motherhood is a start-up aiming to provide support and resources for women from Trying-to-Conceive and beyond. It is our mission to lessen the effects of and provide education regarding postpartum depression and psychosis. We want to restore the “village” it takes to raise a child.

The event is at the Calvin Center on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. They will have information for local resources.

The event will offer free photos for mothers and families. They will also have a raffle.
