The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force arrested a Rootstown man who investigators say was trying to meet up with a teen girl.
According to Mahoning County Sheriff Major Jeff Allen, the task force began communicating online with Jonathan Brokaw. Investigators posed as a 15-year-old girl.
They said Brokaw, who works as an auto mechanic in Cleveland, went to Austintown, where he believed he was meeting the girl.
He was arrested and charged with importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, possessing criminal tools and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Brokaw appeared in court Wednesday morning, and his bond was set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. February 20.
