Things Remembered, a gift shop where customers can personalize items, is preparing to file for bankruptcy, according to a report from Reuters.
The website cited “people familiar with the matter,” reporting that the company plans to close most of its roughly 400 stores.
The company has a fulfillment center on S. Bailey Road in North Jackson.
There are also shops at the Eastwood Mall in Niles and Southern Park Mall in Boardman.
It is unclear at this time how those stores will be affected.
Things Remembered was founded and is headquartered in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Last summer, the company announced that it would begin selling its products on Amazon.com in a move to compete with other online retailers.
