A 20-year-old Niles man is facing criminal trespass charges after Sheriff’s deputies say they found him touching himself inappropriately behind a mini-mart in Johnston Township.

A deputy reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked behind Quinn’s Mini Mart on State Route 193 around 9:30 p.m. Monday — when the business was closed.

The driver told the deputy that he was driving home from his father’s house and got hot so he pulled over to take off his “Long John’s” that he had under his work pants, according to a report.

The deputy noted that the driver appeared nervous and had a blanket over his lap, as if he were “hiding something.”

He was asked to step out of the vehicle at which time the deputy found that the driver’s pants and underwear were pulled down to his knees.

The driver told the deputy that he was sorry for lying and said he was “playing with himself” as he was talking on the phone to his girlfriend, who was on her lunch break at Walmart and doing the same thing in the store’s parking lot.

The driver faces a criminal trespass charge and was warned not to return to the location, according to the report.
