YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A rally for Donald Trump was held Saturday at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown.

Dozens of people attended the rally held downtown, holding signs and flags while chanting as they marched to the office of Congressman Tim Ryan.

Once there, several people spoke, including State Representative of the 59th District Al Cutrona and the Republican nominee for the 13th Congressional District Christina Hagan.

“It’s an amazing blessing to have real people coming out trying to make a difference in this election. They’re excited about change. They’re excited about new opportunities,” said Hagan.

Hagan will go head-to-head with Ryan this November.

“Tell people to go out there and vote. Get those absentees and make sure that we cast it out early, cast it out fast and November 3rd is important,” Cutrona said.

Hagan also says it’s important for all voters to come out but especially young, new voters.

Dennis Willard, communications director for Representative Tim Ryan’s campaign for re-election issued the following statement in regards to Saturday’s rally:

“Christina Hagan is a fraud. She glommed on to a sparse Trump rally because she has no support in the Mahoning Valley. She doesn’t even live in the district. She needs a GPS to find Youngstown. Christina Hagan was a key vote of Senate Bill 5 to take away the collective bargaining rights of police officers. She wants to defund police wages, police pensions and police safety equipment. Tim Ryan opposed Senate Bill 5 and opposes defunding the police. Tim Ryan was at more than half a dozen events on Saturday throughout the district registering voters, and saying hello again to old friends and supporters who know Tim is one of us and fights for all of us.”
