WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) - Two people have been arrested after police say their children were found living in a Warren home that was filled with feces.
Desiree and Anthony Young face child endangering charges. They were arrested at their home on Thursday.
On Tuesday, officers at their home in the 1900 block of Benton St. SE reported finding cat feces spread throughout the kitchen and living room.
Police said there were numerous cats and kittens living in the apartment, but they had nowhere to defecate because the litter box was full.
Police also noted that there were dirty diapers on the floor of the bedroom. They believed that the conditions of the home were hazardous to the two children -- ages 7 months -- so they called Children Services.
During their arrest on Thursday, police noted that the home had been "tidied up," and there was no feces on the floor. Police said it also appeared that the Youngs got rid of multiple animals since their initial visit.
