BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two teenage girls are facing charges after a reported fight led to a large crowd and a police response at the Southern Park Mall in Boardman.
Police and fire crews were sent out to the scene around 5:20 p.m. Monday.
According to police, the fights started inside the mall, then another one broke out in front of Macy’s outside as people waited for their rides.
Police arrived to find a large crowd and broke up a fight between a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl, according to a police report. The report stated that the girls were pulling each other’s hair at the entrance of Macy’s. While officers were separating them, they said one of the teens nearly hit an officer while attempting to kick the other girl.
Officers took both girls into custody and later released them to their guardians. They will be charged with unruly juvenile, according to the report.
