YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police have identified a suspect after a shooting Saturday morning.
Quin’daz Stubbs, 26 of Warren, was arrested and charged with felonious assault and is in the Mahoning County Jail.
According to Youngstown Police, the shooting happened on the 200 block of Benita Avenue, on the city’s North Side.
YPD says it was Liberty Police who was getting several calls of a reported shooting in Youngstown around 5:30 a.m Saturday.
Liberty Police assisted in the investigation, watching for anyone fleeing the Youngstown jurisdiction.
At this time, Youngstown Police were called to Mercy Health to a report of a gunshot victim. Police say the victim, 23, said she had been shot on the 200 block of Benita Avenue.
Police in Liberty say they were in the area of Gypsy Lane, near the Lane Manor Apartments, when they saw Stubbs and another man fleeing, heading towards the former North Side hospital.
However, police caught them and also found a gun, according to the release.
The victim is in stable condition.
