WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren woman reported that her friend stabbed her after accusing her of stealing his cigarettes.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday at an apartment in the 200 block of Tod Ave. NW, according to a police report.

The 46-year-old woman told police that Stacey Walker asked her to help him look for his cigarettes but became agitated and started arguing with her, accusing her of stealing them. She said he grabbed her and pulled out a small knife, stabbing her in the chin, according to the report.

The woman said Walker tried to stab her again, but she was able to push him down and call police from the lobby of the apartment.

Police said the victim had a deep cut on her chin and her chest. Her neck was covered in blood.

Paramedics took her to the hospital for treatment.

Police said Walker denied stabbing the woman, saying she was covered in blood when she came to his apartment. He said the woman told him that she had been stabbed on the 10th floor.

Police said there was blood on the bedroom floor in Walker’s apartment but no signs that a crime occurred on the 10th floor.

Walker is charged with felonious assault.
