A Lake Milton man is facing a felony weapons charge in Cleveland after he was accused of having a gun in a carry-on bag at Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
Christopher J. Ryan is charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Ryan was arrested at the airport on March 11 after a TSA officer reported finding the loaded gun in his carry-on bag.
Ryan told Cleveland police officers that he went shooting with his daughter the day before and forgot the gun was in his bag, according to a police report. Police said he does not have a CCW permit.
The FBI was then called to the scene to interview Ryan.
Ryan’s case has been bound over to a Cuyahoga County grand jury. He’s out on $5,000 bond.
