YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Some residents in Youngstown had a rude awakening Saturday morning.

Paramedics, police and the fire department were all called to West Dewey Avenue for a rollover crash.

Some neighbors said the crash sounded like a bomb.

It all happened shortly before 8:30 a.m.

The damage from the SUV extended about seven houses long.

Power lines were taken down, one neighbor’s car was hit, and a porch was destroyed.

Police on the scene confirmed there were two people in the car. One was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The other ran from the scene.

Witnesses said they saw a man lying on the ground across the street from the vehicle before taking off.

Police were seen removing a gun from the car.

Many people on West Dewey said their homes were without power. First Energy did arrive on the scene to begin fixing the damage.
