YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Detectives are talking to two men who were wounded Friday in separate shootings Friday.
About 7:15 p.m. Friday, a man told police he was walking in the 700 block of Kendis Circle on the East Side when he heard several gunshots and observed several bullet wounds after he lifted up his shirt.
The man was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
About 10:35 p.m., a man was wounded in the leg inside an apartment in the 2800 block of Vestal Road on the West Side. Police were called after someone in the apartment heard several gunshots and the victim was wounded in the leg.
That man was also taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Both men are still in the hospital, police said. Both are expected to recover.
