BROOKFIELD TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A woman is in jail after police say she had a big afternoon lunch and a White Claw at a home that wasn’t her own.

It happened at a house on Warner Road on Wednesday.

According to a Brookfield Township Police Department Facebook post, police found Cassandra Pacheco after the homeowners called police saying there was a woman they did not know in their house. The homeowners had been out to dinner.

Pacheco was sitting on the porch when the police arrived. She told officers she was dropped off in the driveway because “a voice” told her to go there, police stated.

Police said Pacheco admitted that she went into the house through an unlocked door. She said that after she entered, she drank half a White Claw and put the rest of it in the refrigerator. She cooked a Hot Pocket and lasagna, police said.

Pacheco said she then made herself a bubble bath and changed into new clothes she brought with her.

Police said aside from mentioning the “voice,” she appeared to be of sound mind.

“When the sanctity of your home is violated, I mean, that’s one of the largest violations that you feel, and now you feel unsafe coming home, so do you not do anything? No, we have to take action as a police department,” said Brookfield Police Chief Dan Faustino.

Faustino said this is a reminder for homeowners to keep their doors locked.

Pacheco was charged with felony burglary and was arraigned on Thursday, when her bond was set at $5,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 7.
