Police: Body found on Research Parkway in Champion

Police called in the homicide task force for a second opinion and the Trumbull County Coroner's office currently has the remains

CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) — Champion Police confirmed that a body was found Saturday on Research Parkway.

That’s near both the Trumbull Career and Technical Center and Kent State Trumbull campus.

According to Chief White from the Champion police, the skeletal remains were of a white man who appeared to be in his 40’s.

The cause of death is still undetermined.

Police called in the homicide task force for a second opinion and the Trumbull County Coroner’s office currently has the remains.

An identification has not been released and police haven’t indicated yet whether foul play was involved.

They are working to determine if it may be a man missing in the Champion area since last year.
