YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Penguin City Beer announced on Monday that the Simply Slavic festival will be the first project featured on their limited edition tribute label.
According to a press release, the brewery will be releasing 20,000 bottles of the event-branded beer. These are expected to be in stores starting May 15 and continue until the festival on June 14 and 15.
“We chose Simply Slavic to be our first tribute label because we felt the organizers and their event represent everything we love about this community,” said Aspasia Lyras, co-owner of Penguin City Beer. “These folks work hard to pay tribute to the past, but are always optimistically looking forward and wanting to try new things. Like us and our beer, they are solid.”
The annual Simply Slavic festival, which will have Penguin City Beer as the bar sponsor, will be in Federal Plaza East.
