YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man was arrested after a two-vehicle crash blocked a part of Midlothian Boulevard and sent two people to the hospital Monday morning.

Yadier Prado, 22, was charged with an OVI, refusal and traffic control device.

The collision happened near its intersection with Shirley Road. Midlothian Blvd. officially reopened as of 6:45 a.m. Multiple lanes were closed earlier Monday morning for the collision.

The crash around 4 a.m. sent two people to the hospital after one vehicle tried to pass another and collided with a turning vehicle, according to Boardman PD.

Police smelled alcohol on Prado, and he admitted he had drank several alcoholic beverages and smoked some marijuana, according to the report.

Prado refused to give a urine sample, which resulted in an additional charge according to the report. He was processed and then released.

He is expected to be in court sometime this week.
