YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are releasing numbers from the first day of new speed cameras in school zones.

Through 11 cameras, 1,218 people were allegedly caught speeding. That was all on the first day on Tuesday.

For now, offenders will just get a written warning.

Starting February 17, tickets will be issued.
